Simply Inspired Cloud Nine Blog Hop

Welcome to My Sweet Studio.  If you’ve come from the darling Rebecca Cross’s blog,  http://www.rebeccalcross.blogspot.com/ you’re on the right path.  Enjoy and welcome to My Sweet Studio!

I love the simplicity, price-point, and the full sized products that are included in the new Cloud 9 Card Special!  When I made mine, I wanted to keep it simple & easy but still put my own spin on it.  (I have this thing about bonding to every project I do – even if it doesn’t originate with me!)

The easiest way to personalize something is to use a very inexpensive tool….the sponge and/or a sponge dauber.  Both give projects that special finishing touch and each produces a different and unique look.  Another easy thing to do is to look at the extra paper to find ways to jazz up your cards or create more – in this case there was plenty!

Because of the simplicity, this kit is great to be made up in multiples for gifts, all it needed was the perfect package to put them in.  Using Cricut Craft Room, I created a nice holder with the left-over paper from the kit – no extra expense necessary!  To see how I did this or to learn how to size a multi-pieced project on CCR, click HERE. I changed the mustache card the most because I liked it better backed in Lagoon – it helps the message pop! But then it doesn’t fit on the card so I made it a Hamburger Card instead of a Hot Dog Card!  I also rubbed the Sunset pad on both outsides of the card before adhering the Gold Dot Washi Tape (now it looks like a colored card) – another great look for Washi Tape!

I kept the cards basically the same (one is exactly like the Project Guide and the other I bonded with!).  After all, that’s the beauty of buying a kit that someone else has spent all the time designing – it saves you a lot of time and effort – so keep it simple!  But it takes very little extra time to customize them!  As I assembled the cards, I added a few paper scraps here and there and added a lot of sponging to give them that little extra something-something!  It takes them from Fine to Fabulously Finished!
